Malaki-Kilim, dominated by a small geometric pattern, brings a strong focus to the interior. The rug, handcrafted by local tribes, comes from the Balochistan region of southern Afghanistan, close to mountains and wilderness. The rugs in the area are made using mixed techniques by combining weaving and embroidery in looms. The tight binding makes Malaki rugs very durable and the brown and black accentuated in coloring give them an original look and posture.
