This patchwork is made from old hand-woven pieces of antique Kilim rug. The carpet is combined with different shades of brown and the pieces have different patterns. The shades harmonize well together and give the rug a peaceful whole. Kilims collected from different areas may be combined in the same carpet. To improve durability, a cotton backing fabric is added to the reverse side of the rug.
