Decorative cushions dress up a room and give it a focal point. Made by hand out of hand-woven silk fabrics, these cushions are born in a small atelier in Istanbul. With a patterned silk velvet front and ikat dyed silk back, each cushion is unique, and similar cushions are produced in extremely small quantities, from four to ten pieces at a time.
The silk velvet fabric is made following a centuries-old technique of warp dyeing and weaving with a handloom. Thanks to the production method, the fabrics may show little imperfections that give each piece a distinct character.
