Modern
Instead of the typical, characteristically and narrative pattern of Persian rugs, modern rugs are characterized by monochrome. If the carpet has a pattern, it is light-edged and geometric like a box or stripe, even though the carpets come from traditional carpet areas and are hand-knotted using traditional methods. In addition to wool, other durable natural fibers such as hemp, linen and cotton are used. Patchwork carpets made from recycled pieces are also typical.
